God must be trying to tell me something...
In France, on my birthday, I discovered that terrorists had gotten to the London underground
And last thursday on the one week anniversary of the attacks, I was a bit scared
What better way of commemorating attacks than by having others a week apart
and today...two weeks away..i hear abt another lot of them
If i had been in london for a week more i would have been affected by this lot of attacks for sure..
cos one of the attacked stations...warren street...is the one that i used all the time when i was in london....just last sat..walked to warren street...and took the northern line to the tate...
Yup..warren street...bombs there....
still waiting for news...
this new round of attacks...more likely to have affected me than any other...
empathy..high..
somehow..although it isnt..london feels like my city...one of mine at least...
one of the places where..although i dont spend too much time in..still spend a bit..
fly in..fly out..go to the theatre..shopping on oxford street..
visiting friends..
i only hope that they find these people and make them sorry for their actions..

Apart from that...Frida is going well...was in the tate as i mentioned above..on saturday..
The Tate is a word of god..
i saw some paintings which i had only dreamt abt in the past...
The Rothko paintings..cant say i am a big fan..but his suicide always colours things for me...
a matisse...the matisse museum in nice...was wonderful.....

haha..in Paris..got to see Marcel Duchamp..and his great take on art..the lavabo...
For some reason..modern art makes me laugh..its so funny and the pple who make it must have a sense of humour...
Like that installation i saw...with the paper pple and the rubbish company..hilarious
beginning to kind of like picasso...at least some of the later works of his...
And Dufy...so colourful....that painting..and that Vuillard.which was nice...
Name dropping here...but i have been to so many museums in the past weeks that i want to remember all of them..
seen things as i said earlier..that i used to read abt as a kid..and dream abt..
and now i can remember them...
cos we used to have some art books arnd..and i used to get bored and read them...
a book on the impressionists and rembrant..
finally got to see those rembrants in my pics....
and the impressionists....Orsay and some in Pompidou...
its like..being interested in toy cars..and being left in the toy shop...
so yeah...went to see a Frida Kahlo...
ever been to something that you know you will like even if you have never been there before...
I felt that way abt Frida...cos she is so brutal...and honest..
the old artists...used to annoy me cos they painted a limited scope...
well..the new artists..paint what they feel..
and Frida...well..what can i say...
anyway..bought a book abt here..which i am getting through..
Need to make a list of things to get through this hols...
like a list...
already have so many books which i intend to read..but never really got down to..
like lets see..einstein....i need to admit that i am not really that interested in it ..or capable of understanding it...
Need to get thru the teachings of freud...which is sitting in my bookshelf staring at me...
so much literature....stendhal...proust..random history...
which is the great passion...history...if i hadnt done medicine..would be reading history..or art history..or something like that :-)
God....and i need to remind myself how to read tamil...i am a disgrace
it takes me a lifetime to get thru a tamil book...so tedious...
but persevere....
the written word..holds so much fascination for me

Need to stop being apathetic and get all those plans put into place...
Need to get the bloody theory thingy out of the way...and then start learning how to drive...if i want to drive the beetle...i need a license...
Need to get back to paatu class...my voice has been reduced to a croak..
Need to get back to the gym....if i intend to meet that long term goal i set in january....
and I NEED to learn how to COOK..if not i am going to go on poisoning myself...

Need to finish reading all those books...quite excited abt that Madame Campan memoirs i found..wonder if its a first edition..that would be amazing..but i doubt it..
and I need to get a job....god...the stress....ok..stop complaining..
at least now i can eat and sleep properly..without the stress...which was intolerable.
All good...just need to stop being apathetic...
and get on with it...
