Its football season again...Gods in his heaven and all's right with the world
Well, suddenly i was looking back and thinking abt one of the things i did a few years ago
something like the most memorable holiday i have ever had
Something I will never forget
and it was one of those amazing father-daughter bonding moments
where daddy and i went on a holiday to Japan
before i go on, I have to clarify
Zenia is a spoilt brat

so basically, it was 2002 i think, world cup year in japan
and i had bought all the mags...knew all the groups by heart
and at that pt , i still thought that les bleues were god
Thuram, Liza, Petit, Mexes, Cisse, Pires, Henry, Zizou, Barthez, Gallas, Trezeguet
you know the whole lot of them
and they were the defending champs
after a somewhat bizarre win at St Denis or is it Stade de Fr...oh wait, they are the same thing
so yah, I spent nights and nights dreaming of going to see them in Japan
and instead, I ended up watching a Germany-Japan final
Now that was so memorable
Since we were on one side, we werent at either goal end
but i got to see Rivaldo with his white boots dancing past the german guy and crossing
and ronaldo slotting in goals...but it was so quick..was impossible to see
and ballack with a free kick in the end that nearly made it
and for a while, everyone was either germany or brazil..
it was...
there were no nationalities
and finding my way to the stadium was so easy since there was a river of people from the metro to the stadium....
which i have so many pics of..i would rebuild it if i could
and then before the match starts..collina and the 2 and 3 official walk onto the pitch and inspect it..in their posh white suits
that to me was amazingly cool for a reason
that and meeting the anti fifa campaigners giving out leaflets

So, I would suggest that everyone go watch a world cup match at sometime
Its quite enjoyable if i might say so myself
and I still have tonnes of paper cranes that fell from the sky when the match ended and cafu grabbed the trophy and someone wrote something on his shirt
and photos of the end
