I went to the library, as was mentioned
and i found some great books there...
the first one is an autobio of freud..i love autobiographies..when i write my book it might be that
and a clockwork orange..been looking for that book for ages...burgess is one of the cult writers of this age
and buck who i need to read....since I was told to from a young age..
Readers like me were not meant for poetry..
too lacking in patience..
with that said..going to plough through the complete works of donne at some time..or a poem at a time.
life is too short to waste time on poets that arent interesting..
like blake..who i loved when i was younger..
i mean..if i were into christian metaphor..manley hopkins is the way
and need to get thru my philosophy text...reading this book by Bertrand Roussell...intro to philo
and some of the ideas there were eye openers for me
For one..it never occurred to me that people would need to define that air was a separate entity
or that plato was an elitist nazi
thats as far as i have gone...
according to my book...philosophy starts with thales..who said that everything comes from water
and then two other guys...
and a few more..whose names are too hard to spell
and then we end up at plato..where i stopped...so going to finish
Does anyone who reads this..read bengali..want to read Tagore's Gitanjali..but I dont read..
I find it horrible the way i read so much occidental stuff but so little asian stuff
never read anything by Kalidasa or Tagore or anyone asian...
or know much abt our art...
need to make the effort here..
and need to get some mediciny stuff done
